President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Obot Akpabio, has been elected into the Global Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
“History was made today in far away Angola.
Just like we broke the Guinness Book Of World Records, a 59 -year-old jinx was broken few hours ago, when I was unanimously elected into the Global Executive Committee Of Inter-Parliamentary Union.
“The last time a Nigerian was elected was in 1964. To God be the Glory,” he wrote, on his Facebook page on Friday, 27th October, 2023.
