Call For Thorough Checks, As Hidden Money Caught Going South At The Texas Border

Information reaching our news desk has it that huge quantity of hidden money was trapped going south at the Texas Border moments ago by security intelligence on patrol routine check.

In the news, you normally hear about drug busts coming north into Texas from Mexico. But the inspection has revealed raps of money likely from same drug proceeds belonging to the drug cartels.

On rare occasions, you hear of money getting seized going south into Mexico from Texas. This is likely the money flowing back to the drug cartels. Not all bundles that are found are drugs some are cash.

A truck was stopped last week at the Pharr International Bridge as the vehicle attempted to cross into Tamaulipas, Mexico.

It was sent to secondary inspection where five bundles of cash totaling $65,948 was found in the truck, CBP officials said Monday. It is a federal crime to cross at a U.S. port of entry with more than $10,000 in declared currency.

Mexican cartels often rely on weapons and cash from the United States making its way south to fund and support their operations as they send drugs and human cargo north across the border. Hidalgo/Pharr/Anzalduas Port Director Carlos Rodriguez said.

Accordingly, “These types of bulk cash seizures, often proceeds from illegal activity, deny transnational criminal organizations the ability to profit from their illicit enterprises and exemplify CBP’s ongoing commitment to our priority border security mission”

Drugs have been found in some pretty unusual places. The border between Texas and Mexico is very important for drug cartels trying to smuggle their wares into the country.

Cartels are trying to sneak in any drug that you can think of.

From crystal meth and heroin to marijuana and counterfeit pills, there is no shortage of illicit substances coming up from south of the border and into the United States via Mexico and Texas.

The further north the drugs make it in the United States the more money the cartel makes. Check out some of the unusual attempts that have been made, The press release stated.
