A car belonging to one Mr. Emmanuel Sani, has been reportedly set ablaze by irate youths in Mararaba Udege, Nasarawa Local Government of Nasarawa State.

The yet-to-be identified youths also demolished and set ablaze the residence of Sani’s grandfather in the community over the alleged murder of his brother in-law, a resident confirmed.

Sani has earlier on Saturday, September 23, 2024, during a heated argument at his father in-law residence allegedly stabbed the younger brother to his estranged wife, Mr. Lazarus, with knife who later confirmed dead in the hospital.

The suspect was said to have escaped from the community narrowly after the incident, leaving behind the vehicle, which was set ablaze.

A Facebook user, Abdulmalik Makail, who also confirmed the incident in Facebook post, appealed to the public with any useful information on his whereabouts to report to the police.

According to him, the fleeing suspect, Emmanuel Sani, stabbed his brother in-law to death.

“He is called Emmanuel Sani, please, don’t hesitate to reach out to us or to the nearest police station when you see this face.

“He just stabbed my little cousin who happened to be his brother in-law to death”, Mikail wrote on Facebook.

Efforts however to reach the police over the ugly incident proved abortive as at press time.
