As the 2027 Governorship election draws near, there are ever indication that Owerri zone will surely clitch the mandate. The paradox of this Guber call is to identify the make up of Owerri zone and best hand to assume this seat of power.

On this therefore, Chief Charles Orie is having a wide acceptability from both the stakeholders and the rural populace by the investigation conducted so far by 9News.

To this effect, several reactions have triggered much needed attention to put to record a straight and achievable strategy to achieving the Owerri zone mandate to synchronize the Charter of Equity.

Inspite hundreds of yet -to-be-seen aspirants, featuring Chief Charles Orie as next Imo Governor can stabilize the equity.

The recent proclamation, therefore , by Barr. Willie Amadi, agitating for an Owerri Zone indigene to occupy the Government House in 2027, is more of a media utterance than a product of practical political strategy and party engagement as Ozuomee highlighted in a document made available to 9News Nigeria Owerri.

In his release , Ozuomee was optimistic that Charles Orie will be given the ticket because of his antecedent and global acceptability and Inclusivity in the mainstream of government.

“In politics, power is never a crayfish business — it is earned through grassroots mobilization, strategic alliances, and credible contact, not mere rhetoric.

“Since the inception of democracy, leadership has always favored those who combine competence with tactical engagement. At this critical juncture, Who Saw, a son of Ohaji, stands tall — well-known, tested, and trusted.

“Ohaji and Owerri Zone are not strangers; they are siblings, bonded by geographical and political kinship. Therefore, an Ohaji candidate equally qualifies as an Owerri Zone candidate under a dual-heritage identity.

“We still have ample time to calmly and strategically address the issues surrounding the Owerri and Okigwe political dynamics.

“Regardless of who becomes governor, 80% of developmental projects will inevitably remain sited within the Owerri Capital Territory. What we need is a servant-leader — not a leader driven by family or personal interest.

“Chief Charles Orie has entered the match. He is the Didier Drogba of this political season — strong, reliable, and timely. The time has come for us to face reality, rally behind competence, and move forward with purpose. These are the words of Ozuomee in parts, from Owerri Imo State.
