Benue State students distinguished themselves at the 2025 National Mathematics Conference held in Sokoto between September 2 and 5, securing top positions across multiple categories.
In the Primary Category, Nwankwo Emeka of Laurel Children Academy, Gboko, and Shakyumna Paul of Sora Heights, Gboko, won first place in the quiz, while Laurel Children Academy clinched first place in the Olympiad.
In the Junior Category, Akorshu Kelvin of Sora Schools, Gboko, and Damsa Saater of St. John’s Secondary School, Gboko, emerged first in the quiz competition. In the Senior Category, Iorliam Harry of Sora Schools, Gboko, placed second in the Olympiad.
Education stakeholders described the performance as a reflection of Benue State’s growing investment in education and the commitment of schools and teachers to academic excellence.
