Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officer, Squadron Leader AM Sanda, has emerged as the Best Allied Graduate at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) Course 47.
Sanda was among seven NAF officers and two Nigerian Navy officers who represented Nigeria at the course, which brought together 90 officers from Ghana and 14 allied African countries.
The course, which also marked the 50th anniversary of the GAFCSC, featured participants from countries including Benin, Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, Malawi, Morocco, Namibia, Nigeria, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Togo.
The Best Allied Graduate award is presented to the allied participant who demonstrates outstanding academic performance, wide military knowledge, professionalism and leadership ability.
The achievement highlights the professionalism and intellectual capacity of NAF officers, as well as the Service’s emphasis on professional military education, strategic leadership and capacity development.
Nigeria’s participation in the course also signifies its commitment to regional security cooperation, and stronger professional ties among African armed forces.
