ASABA: Fire Razes Shops At Ogbe-Gonogo Market Along Nnebisi Road.

It has been reported that fire razed about ten shops and goods worth millions of Naira were engulfed in flames at the old section of Ogbe-Gonogo market in Asaba, Delta State capital on Tuesday.

Fire fighters came to the rescue and fought very hard to put out the raging inferno.

The state governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa said he has instructed the Chairman of that section of the market to forward a written report on the level of damage to enable government work out palliative and/or financial assistance to enable those affected bounce back to business.

The market association is expected to work with Oshimili South Council Chairman to ensure that none of the victims of the fire incident go unassisted by government.

Calm has since returned to the market situated within the jurisdiction of Oshimili South local government area in Delta North Senatorial District.
