COVID-19: Akwa Ibom State discharges 27 more survivors

The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced the discharge of 27 more persons who had been undergoing treatment for COVID-19 in its Isolation Facilities, after being confirmed negative of the virus by the NCDC.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dominic Ukpong, flanked by respiratory medicine expert Professor Etete Peters and the CMD of Ibom Specialist Hospital, Prof Emmanuel Ekanem, announced this on Wednesday in Uyo.

29 patients confirmed COVID-19 patients had been undergoing treatment before the discharge of 27 today.

Akwa Ibom State government had made it a tradition to discharge COVID-19 survivors in fanfare and jamboree. Today’s discharge of COVID-19 free citizens was with utmost thanks to God for making these 27 persons whole.
