After five years of steadfast leadership, Oba Shittu Akanni Akomolafe Bamgbose has been re-affirmed as the Onikoyi of Agelete/ Ikoyi Kingdom by the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun. This momentous occasion was a testament to the monarch’s dedication to his people and his unwavering commitment to the development of the kingdom.
In an exclusive interview, Oba Bamgbose expressed his profound gratitude to the Almighty for preserving his life, particularly when many of his colleagues who started their reign alongside him were no longer alive. He attributed his re-affirmation to the divine grace of God and the support of his people.
The monarch also extended his appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Abiodun acknowledging the privilege bestowed upon him to continue leading the kingdom. Oba Bamgbose assured the people of Agelete Ikoyi that his re-affirmation will usher in a new era of prosperity and growth, bringing greater things to the community.
As part of the celebrations, a grand ceremony has been scheduled for April 8th, 2025, where Oba Bamgbose will be formally presented with the staff of power.
