

The Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio has assured that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term is guaranteed, despite opposition efforts to challenge him in 2027 elections.
Speaking at a Special Iftar/Lent dinner organized by the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) in Abuja, Akpabio urged party members to remain united, expressing confidence that All Progressives Congress (APC) will win more elective positions across the country.
He praised the PGF, led by Governor Hope Uzodinma, for fostering unity among governors, lawmakers, ministers, and APC leaders, Akpabio also pointed out that the party had strengthened its presence in Edo State by appointing a senator to oversee the region.
Governor Uzodinma emphasized the need for collective efforts in promoting the government, stating that the success or failure of the administration affects all party.
Minister of Finance Wale Edun highlighted the administration’s achievements, citing reduced inflation, stable exchange rates, and lower food and energy prices as evidence of progress.
The event was attended by top government officials, including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, governors, former Governor Yahaya Bello, former SGF Boss Mustapha, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu and other top APC leaders.
