The Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anambra State Sir Norbert Obi has called on members of the party in Ayamelum Local Government Area to intensity effort towards garnering support ahead of the Anambra 2021 gubernatorial election.
He made the call at the council secretariat Anaku during the visit to local government by the State Working Committee of the party which was in continuation of the fact finding tour by the APGA State leadership across the twenty-one Local Government Areas.
Speaking during the event Sir Norbert who commended the executives of the party at both Local government and ward levels as well as the Transition Committee Chairman for being co-ordinated and peaceful noted that the coming election in Anambra State is essential to the growth of the party and the State at large.
In their separate speeches, the State Secretary of the party, Mr. Tony Ifeanya and the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Anambra South Senatorial District Chief Ben Ibekwe, pointed out that presenting the people with factual evidence of APGA achievements and legacies over the years will play a vital role in achieving the needed result especially at the grassroots.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Ayamelum Local Government Area Mr. Benjamin Onyeabo and the Anambra State Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artwork, Culture and Tourism Dr. Christian Madubuko lauded the initiative and urged the party executive and the State government to remain focused in meeting the demands of Ndi Anambra.
They further encouraged the party faithful to always support the party and the government which according to them will foster more development.
