The Apex Socio-cultural youth group of Ohanaeze Youth Council has warned the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC not to play jamboree with the peace and Unity of Nigeria.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja after the rumored endorsement of Sen. Alhmed Lawan as consensus candidate for APC presidential ticket, the national President of Ohanaeze Youth Council OYC, Comrd. Igboayaka O. Igboayaka noted presidency must be rotational, hence between Northern and Southern Nigeria.

Hear him: “As President Mohammadu Buhari who is from the Northern Nigeria is finishing his tenure, a succeeding president Must come from the Southern Nigeria.”

Igboayaka lamented that a certain zone from the Southern region, hence the southeast zone had not produced a president for over 57years, and insisted that ‘what is good for the goose is also good for the gander’, in order for Fairness, Equity and Justice to prevail.

He further reiterated that instigators of ceding the party’s presidential ticket to the Northeast should desist from the mischievous act as such, he regretted would lead the country to her Waterloo.

“There is one Zone in Southern Nigeria that have not produced president of Nigeria since 57 years which is Southeast. Justice can’t be two or double at the same time. The only justice, fairness and equity in Nigeria is president must move to Southeast not Northeast. APC presidential ticket must move to Southeast extraction not Northeast.

“Sen. Lawan presidency championed by some of the misguided Southeast politicians is clearly a national disaster, it’s a symbol of the end of Nigeria; it’s a symbol of national disintegration. Those on this dangerous and lonely road to cede president to any zone that’s not Southeast, should have a rethink.

Embittered Igboayaka wailed that the new generation of Igbo extraction would not treat ‘with a pinch of salt’ the apparent deprivation and relegation, stressing that the Nigerian nation cannot deny the Southeast their cry for Self-determination, as well as Presidency come 2023.

“It’s Injustice for president of Nigeria to remain in the North after Eight (8) years of President Mohammadu Buhari. The new generation of Igbo extraction wouldn’t take this lightly, you can’t deny Southeast the call for Self determination and at the same deny the president in 2023.

If APC presidential ticket is given to any other zone apart from South-east, if the next president of Nigeria didn’t come from South-east Ndigbo have no business to remain in a Country that’s characterized with Injustice, marginalization and hate against Southeasterners.
Those who want to push Southeast out from Nigeria, should do it very fast, those who want to accommodate Southeastners to still be part of Nigeria should do it very fast by ceding APC presidential ticket to Southeast.

“Nigeria is in a crossroad and redline in 2023. Saying that nation is Suffering from a very chronic political “Pandemic”, is an understatement. And it is only the Nigeria president of Southeast extraction 2023 that can provide the only workable vaccine.

“As we have counted PDP as the worst political enemy of Ndigbo and over 50 million Igbo Youths have vowed to teach the party a lesson. Now, if APC makes a similar mistake by denying Southeast presidential ticket, we shall teach them a historical lesson as well. Because ‘if anyone could bite Ndigbo in the head not minding the hair, we in return shan’t mind the faeces when we shall bite him in the anus’.

“Therefore, those carrying PDP and APC ticket as candidates in house of assembly, house of representatives, Senate or Governorship in Southeast are merely holding “Tissue Paper”. To be forewarned is to be forearmed”.

He, however, used the medium to appeal to Southeast aspirants to adopt Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu as their consensus candidate for the APC presidential ticket, describing him as the most suitable candidate preside over the affairs of the nation.

Moreso, he implored aspirants from Southwest and Southsouth to shield their sword, and solidarize with Southeasterners in the struggle, as this will help resuscitate the already epileptic unity of the country.

“I am appealing to aspirants from South West and South South who have at different occasions taken their own turns to, in the spirit of Fairness, Equity and Justice, support the Southeast candidate, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu in make sure he secures the presidential ticket. ‘Dr. Onu is a round peg in a round hole’. It is only with a Southeasterners as the president of Nigeria come 2023 that the unity of Nigeria will become evident and productive.
