Information reaching our News desk reveales that some presidential aspirants were spotted in spain to have the final tete a tete with the President who is already in Spain at the time of this report.
Following the political permutation, the All Progressives Congress APC party presidential ticket is between two strong presidential Aspirants, Chibuike Amaechi from Rivers state and Ogbonnaya Onu from Abia state.
However both aspirants are from the Southern part of the country where the party PRESIDENTIAL ticket is zoned to.
All Progressives Congress APC party and the People’s Democratic Party PDP are aware of this fact that the 2023 presidential slot will go to the South and most duly the South East zone which comprises of about five states namely, Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia and Ebony respectively.
In futherance, the PDP has given Alhaji Atiku Abubakar their ticket while that of the APC is yet to be decided within the next few hours from this press time.
NIGERIANs are in the known that President Muhammadu Buhari visited Spain on Wednesday, where he met the Spanish President, Pedro Sanchez, King of Spain, His Majesty, King Filipe VI, and gave a speech at the headquarters of the World Tourism Organization, WTO, in Madrid.
During the visit, bilateral agreements and MoUs were signed covering areas of prisoner transfer, sports and culture, and the economy.
Nigeria’s Minister of Justice and Honorable Attorney General of the Federation (HAGF), Abubakar Malami, signed these 3 Agreements on behalf of the FG.
Our Spain correspodents gathered that both APC aspirants in the person of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and Rotimi Amaechi was spotted with the PRESIDENT to seal the final deal on who among them will fly the number one APC party card to contest with Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.
Whosoever that will emerge as APC party flag bearer among Ogbonnaya Onu and Rotimi Amaechi Will slog it out with Atiku Abubakar of the PDP while we promise to keep our readers abreast of the latest development.
Recall that Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi was the former Speaker, Rivers state House of Assembly, 1999- 2007. He was governor of Rivers state from 2007-2015 and before his presidential Ambition he was the Minister of Information from 2015- 2022.
While Dr Christopher Ogbonnaya Onu was NIGERIA’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations, Member of APC BOT. Fmr National Chairman and Natl’ leader of ANPP. He was Former Governor of Abia State Nigeria and most importantly, the likely candidate to emerge at the APC Presidential Primaries.
