Arsenal midfielder Martins Odegaard will be out until the end of November after sustaining a knee injury,
The set back is a huge blow for Mikel Arteta, who now faces a crucial stretch of fixtures without one of his most influential midfielders.
The Norwegian playmaker is expected begin rehabilitation immediately as the club monitors his recovery closely.
The midfielder was promptly ruled out of Norway’s World Cup qualifier against Israel last week and Tuesday’s friendly clash with New Zealand. Now Ordegaard is set to miss Arsenal’s next six matches as well as two more games for for his country next month.

Mikel Arteta’s side play Fulham, Crystal Palace, Burnley and Sunderland in the in Premier League before the set of of internationals. They’re also in Champions League action, facing Atletico Madrid and Slavia Prague .
Odegaard joins summer signing Noni Madueke on the sidelines, who’s also out with knee injury. Medical staff at Arsenal hope to have their skipper back available following the November international.
The absence of Ordegaard could give Eberechi Eze a chance to play in the No 10 role. Arteta recently welcomed Vice -Captain Bukayo Saka back from injury, as he scored in the victory over West Ham which sent Arsenal top of the Premier Legue table.
