The Amanyanabo of Elem Kalabari, Dabaye Amakiri 1 (Alhaji Mujahid Asari Dokubo), on Sunday August 17, 2025, gave his daughter, Rukayat Becky Omoro, in marriage to Abdulrazaq Tamunodiepriye Cline.
He charged the groom against maltreatment of daughter.
Addressing his daughter, the monarch urged her to be “totally submissive” to her husband, stressing that patience, humility, respect are the true pillars of marriage.
He also charged her to honor her husband’s family and anchor her union on the guidance of the Qur’an.
The ceremony, held at the Royal Villa in Dagema, blended Kalabari traditional rites with Islamic Nikkah and was graced by dignitaries, cultural troupes, and well wishers from across the Niger Delta.
