The widow who could only be identified as Ajuese, was tripped naked and paraded passed Otuocha police station and around Enuobodo Aguleri for allegedly killing her husband through adultery which the deceased never reported.
Ajuese is accused by her husband relatives for killing her husband with whom they lived together for 8 years without a child.
Immediately after her husband passed on yesterday, her assailants numbering over hundred took her phone, forced her to hand over her late husband’s ATM card and pin.
They probably knew that she had a joint account with her late husband where she also had all her life savings through her business because she makes more money than her husband who was just a local musician.
Civil societies and human rights activists are calling on Chief Mrs Osodieme Obiano, wife of Anambra State Governor to demand justice for Ajuese who is from Aguleri like the victim.
