President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his unflinching support of of the on-going police reform being carried out by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
The president said that he has been regularly briefed by the IG on every steps and developments in the reform to end police brutality against Nigerian civilians.
In a tweet made one hour ago on the president’s official twitter handle, Buhari declared that he met with the Inspector General of Police tonight.”I met again with the IGP tonight,” he said.
President Buhari also said that his administration’s determination to reform the police should never be in doubt.
He added that his administration is poised to ensure that the Police are fully accountable to the people.
In another vein, PDP has as well made a counter statement that President Buhari has expressed shock over the ongoing #EndSARSProtest.
PDP broke this news on their official twitter handle as well where they made this assertion of the president being in shock over the protest that demands the end of SARS police department.
