It is another sharing of palliatives across the states of the Federation as approved by the executive.

The sharing basically will go round the Thirty (36) six States including the FCT for the benefit of Nigerian citizens.

Our correspondent reports that the free bags of rice is to effectively synchronize the Federal Government of Nigeria food security program as authorized by the Tinubu led administration.

The Federal Government of Nigeria have began sharing of free bags of rice to Nigerians citizens. This is part of the food security program as gathered.

All the state governors are expected to move their shared to respective state to be shared to Nigerian citizens.

Recall that President Tinubuā€™s Shared Prosperity government said heā€™s poised to cushion the effects of governance through subsidy removal which was done months after APC took over government.

From record , this is not the first palliative sharing embarked upon by APC led government but will be regrettable if Governors at respective states did not monitor the sharing and despatch same accordingly.

Another observation made known to our reporters was that the 50kg bags of rice previously shared was lesser than what original 50kg and 25kg would have been.

Our readers can attest to the fact by the CBN governor, who said that these sorts of palliatives cause troubles for the economy. But here Nigeria is today. But the AGRIC minister has assured Nigerians of disbursement of standard bags of rice.

In reaction, economic management experts have stated that same government officials would warehouse the palliatives after giving some to their political loyalists. None of Nigerians who are in need of these palliatives would get it. So so sad.

The standard of the rice to be despatched by the directive of FG will be better determined by the consumers who at several times complained and have frowned at the old stock of rice (not new rice) shared to them in recent times.
