ABUJA (9News Nigeria) – Edo State governor, Godwin has paid an unannounced special visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Villa on Wednesday.
9News Nigeria gathered that the Edo State governor who is facing political struggles with his allies and deputy governor back home was in a closed-door meeting with President Buhari.
Governor Obaseki’s visit was made known by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina who said that the Edo State governor was received by President Buhari on Wednesday 13th October 2021.
“President Buhari receives Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in State House on 13th Oct 2021”
The purpose of the impromptu visit has not been made public as of the time of this report.
In an effort to ascertain the reason for the governor’s sudden visit to Aso Rock, 9News Nigeria South-South correspondent placed a call to Media assistant to Godwin Obaseki but he declined to speak on the trip.
