Gunmen have reportedly attacked and bombed the house of Ford Ozumba, Commissioner for Labour and Productivity in Imo State according to Information reaching 9news Nigeria.
It was learnt that the gunmen planted Improved Explosive Devices (IED) at Ozumba’s house in his hometown, Umuhu, Okabia community in Orsu Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the incident, the Commissioner said he was informed about the attack by his relatives at home.
He said although no life was lost, the house was completely burnt.
“I am in Owerri, they called me this morning and told me that my house was attacked this morning.
“They threw explosives on it and it was burnt. Nobody died. But the house was completely burnt,” he said.
