His Royal Highness, Chief Dr. Enoch Nyikyaa Ikyumen, the Mue Ter Ipusu and acting Ter-Logo of Benue State, had a harrowing experience as a group of angry women stormed his Ayilamo residence, destroying everything in sight, including houses, crops, documents, and cars. The women, fueled by grief and outrage, were protesting the brutal murder of two individuals, Mr. Dooior of Tse-Ikyule and his son, at the hands of armed Fulani invaders. Four others were also severely injured in the attack.
The protesters then proceeded to the soldiers’ camp at Ayilamo, seeking to express their anger and disappointment to the authorities. This incident highlights the escalating tensions and violence in the region, which have led to previous condemnations and actions from the state government, including the suspension of traditional rulers.
9News Nigeria gathered that;on several occasions the Traditional Ruler have always been mentioned on issues relating to herdsmen.Recall that in 2013 he was accused of taking bribe from herdsmen allowing them to graze in the Area.He residence was also set ablazed that same year by some youths in the area.
