Governor Obiano Inaugurates Anambra State Community Policing Advisory Committee
Governor Willie Obiano Of Anambra State has inaugurated Anambra State Community Policing Advisory Committee.
Governor Obiano will serve as Chairman of the Committee.
DIG Celestine Okoye, who represented the Inspector General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, as well as AIG Zone Nine, Mr Baba Tijani were present at the inauguration.
Anambra state Commissioner of Police, Mr John Abang, and the Traditional Ruler of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe will serve as Co-Chairmen.
Other members include service commanders in the State, Mr Ikechukwu Aduba representing North senatorial zone, Mr Asha Nnabuife representing the central senatorial zone and Former DIG Val Ntomchukwu representing south senatorial Zone.
Mr Chinedu Aniagbaoso is a nominee of the Governor, while there are representatives of the Anglican, Roman Catholic Church, Pentecostals and Moslem community.
President General of ASATU, Chief Alex Onukwue, Chief Greg Obi, Prince Chris Azor, Sir Victor Agupusi are members as well, while office of Secretary to the State government will serve as the central secretariate for the committee.
