Pandemonium broke out in Benue yesterday as a young man identified as, Chief Fabian Terser Yaga, issued a statement insisting that governor Alia must visit Yaav, Turan in Kwande local government area of Benue state or resign as Benue state.His reasons were as the results of the Killings ongoing in Kwande, insisting that the governor have never condemned the heinous act or visit the people to commiserate with them over their loses.He stated:
“Your Excellency,I am a native of Yaav,Turan of Kwande local Government”.
“Your Excellency,hence your team have branded me as an agent of insubordination and one who does not have visible admiration of your Governance and policies,let me not waste my time with accolades to your office but to go straight to the point”.
“People have written so many open letters to your office,the burning issues of insecurity is usually embedded with falsehood hence your refusal to visit these affected places yourself”.
“In all the few open letters I have seen,they have accorded you with so much adorable accolades,none have been able to speak issue base to your face. I need not to remind you that you are my Governor,let me shorten the protocols”.
“A person who’s house is on fire is never afraid to run out naked. I am not here today to talk about politics or your style of leadership,your conscience must have told you that you have failed”.
“Every man has a man that resident inside of him,other like minds, May sound mischievous if I am to tell it to your face. But the man that resides inside you is the greatest judge of all,let him judge you fairly”.
“When you came into Government,I said to myself…. That even if you failed to execute any capital project but faced squarely and decisively address the issue of insecurity and have our people returned to their ancestral land”.
“That alone would be the greatest project any Governor can give to the people of Benue State. At this stage,we don’t need Zeva Beer,We don’t want to eat Bread,we can be ok without any under-pass”.
“At the moment,no Benue Citizens will pray for anything other than returning peace and reclaiming our lands from the invaders”.
“WE HAVE A TERRIBLE SITUATION IN TURAN AS ALWAYS BUT AT THE MOMENT,IT IS WORSENING,THE SITUATION IS OVERWHELMING US,WE HAVE COMPLETELY LOST IT AS AT TODAY”.
“Let me on behalf of the IDPs in Turan suggest that you take a working visit to ABANDE AND KASHIMBILA without delay, and see for yourself what is happening”.
“Rather than spending state resources traveling in and out of the country all to attend birthday parties,when your house is on fire. No leader does that”.
“The experience is better witness than saying. No state delegation can give you exact reportage without packaging it with beautiful lies. HAVE MY PEOPLE NOT DIED ENOUGH”?
“I give you 30 DAYS to visit us and also, direct your media office to issue a statement condemning this atrocious act in strong terms or face serious protest that will demand for your removal from office”.
“If you failed to do this,i will mobilize our people and call all the media houses and demand before the entire world,for your resignation from the office you occupied hence proven incapable to uphold the constitution you’ve sworn”.
“YOU HAVE JUST 30 DAYS TO DO THIS OR VACATE THE OFFICE”.
