Chelsea have officially announced that Reggie Walsh has signed his first professional contract.
The 17-year-old midfielder recently made history as the youngest player ever to debut for Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, marking a major milestone in his blossoming career.
Walsh’s rapid rise through the academy rankings has impressed fans and coaches alike, as the Blues continue to place faith in their next generation of talent.

Walsh turned 17 on Monday and on Wednesday came on for Romeo Lavia in the 65th minute against Ajax, becoming, the second youngest Englishman, behind only Arsenal midfielder Jack Wllshere, to play in Champions League.
Walsh was making his fourth appearance for Chelsea having already broken a host of other records.
He was already a Chelsea’s youngest player in Europe when appearing at Djurgardens last season in the Conference League, age 16 years and 193 days.
He became the club’s third youngest player, behind only midfielder Ian Hamilton and goalkeeper Kingsley Whiffed -who made their debuts in 1967.

Walsh is also Chelsea’s youngest player to play in the League Cup having played against Lincoln in the third round last month aged 16 and 338 days.
The Blues are the youngest team in the Premier League and are among the youngest teams in Europe’s top five leagues, coming second behind only sister club Strasbourg last season, which is under the same BlueCo American ownership.
