CHIEF UCHE NNAJI SCALES THROUGH SCREENING/CLEARANCE
Enugu State has made history as the Senator Godswill Akpabio-led 10th Senate today, Tuesday August 1, 2023 cleared its illustrious son, Chief Uche Godfrey Nnaji as a Minister of the Federal Republic. For the first time in the history of the Coal City State, a grassroots politician, philanthropist, activist, technocrat and businessman will be representing the State at the Federal Executive Council (FEC). Chief Uche Nnaji earlier today, Tuesday was among the first set of the second batch of minister-designates cleared by the Senate.
The screening which held at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly complex located along 3-Armed Zone of the Presidential Drive way, Abuja saw the Minister-designate from the South Eastern State flanked by Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi (the Convener of The Asiwaju Group TAG), family members, business and political associates sauntered into the Assembly complex for the all-important screening exercise. Decked in his usual white attire, the minister-designate and (now) a minister awaiting portfolio was seen in a têtê-a-têtê with colleague, another minister-designate shortly before settling down to take his seat.
At the screening, the newly cleared ministerial nominee of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) did not disappoint Nigerians as he was full of composure, readiness, wit and capacity to deliver the #RenewedHope agenda of the new administration. His responses to questions were further proofs that President Tinubu may have chosen one of the best hands to help him and his vice, Senator Kashim Shettima Mustapha (GCON) drive their agenda to re-tool Nigeria for greatness and shared prosperity.
Shortly after his clearance, the new minister awaiting portfolio engaged, very briefly, newsmen and expressed his readiness, while thanking profusely Mr. President for the trust and confidence reposed in him, to dissipate his energy in helping making manifest the planned agenda of President Tinubu to re-work Nigeria for Nigerians.
