IMSU Student Stabbed FUTO Man O’ War Member To Death Alongside Naval Dressed Accomplices At Large
Following the incident cum sudden attack that took place Thursday night in the premesis of Federal University of Technology FUTO Owerri where a yet -to- be identified student of the school was attacked by unknown killers, 9News investigative team led by Amb Princely Onyenwe has gone to the scene of incident to unravel the authentic cause and the actual identify of those involved in the incident that triggered such a public and government attention.
The school was not closed down as speculated by peddlers of fake stories because activities was seriously going on at the time of filling this report by our correspondents who visited the school to get the actual details. It was only that the FUTO management declared a study free day on Friday 1-03-2024 and afterwhich the students are back to school for normal activities across boards.
9News Nigeria can authoritatively report that a 22 Year old student of FUTO Owerri by name Master Marvellous Chinagorom of the department of soil science 400 level was stabbed to death by an IMSU Student who stormed FUTO for criminal action targetted at cult related.
The sudden event took place on Thursday evening when Three suspected assassins droved into FUTO premises towards hostel- A and C and stabbed the 400 level student to death.
Dressed in a military attire, the assassins came with a motorcycle and made their way into the school premises and macheted cum stabbed the 400 level FUTO student and man O’war member to death.
Immediately the incident took place, distress alarm was raised by some students and hostel neighbours who observed what was happening and in the process two of the accomplices dressed in Navy uniform fled while the killer was caught and the motorcycle captured by the FUTO Man O’ War security command.
Speaking with the MAN-O’ WAR NIGERIA FUTO COMMAND Saturday, the identity of the killer has been confirmed to be Francis Marvelous, a student of Imo State University Owerri, English Department.
The SUG, FUTO PRO and Dean students affairs were not met at the point of filling this report to give more details of the incident and the possible actions taken to control the situation and possibly prosecute the said IMSU serial killer.

Information reaching us has it that the killer is an English department student of Imo state University Owerri IMSU who stormed FUTO in search of his rival student which he eventually killed at a stop an search by the man O’ war operatives.
The slan young student of FUTO was the only son of his parents and until his death was 22 yrs old, a Man O’ War officer and a car owner as 9News Nigeria reports.
His parents has been communicated by the FUTO authority immediately he passed on and confirmed death by the hospital where he was rushed for immediate medical attention.
FUTO Killing was cult related and not Fulani or Hausa attack as speculated by several News medium and newspaper reports.
Intelligence report from other camps in FUTO confirmed that the slan student was living a lofty lifestyle and that his killers may have struck a deal with him that led to his untimely death.
Possible reason was that the slain FUTO student was among the Man O’ War officers who intercepted the suspected suiciders on bike while roving FUTO environment on a naval uniform camouflage.
However, since the last year 2023 attack at FUTO back gate by herders, the school is safe till date and there has not been any attack both on FUTO students, FISSO, and school properties.
Meanwhile, at the point of distress call on FUTO on the day of the incident, Police, FUTO security and the students had a serious clash and in the process heavy volume of teargas was shut in the air and people ran to their heels.
Some students jumped from the high floors of the hostels and got wounded while some asmatic patience got trapped and later were resuscitated same day.
Crimes can be going on alongside the bushes and host communities but not within the FUTO environment because of the network of security intelligence operational in the school, an anonymous staff of the school told our correspodent.
“FUTO is safe, the students and staff are secured. Just that the killer slightly maneuvered the school security because of the immunity they gave to the him as an officer of the federal republic.
“He was dressed in military attire and pleaded with the men on duty to allow them visit a friend. But supprisingly their visit later turned to killing the FUTO student in his hostel.
FUTO management ordered for a slight seizure of activities on that particular day the incident took place and the students are back to studies and social activities as confirmed by 9News Nigeria (owerri) at the time of filling this report.
It is therefore important to note that people can disguise themselves in any form to perpetuate crime. It is also evident to note that Fulani/Herders attack in FUTO is false and misleading.
Calls put across the PRO, DEAN students affairs, SUG President and madam VICE CHANCELLOR did not go through at the time of filling this security report by 9News Nigeria.
The management of FUTO has launched a serious investigation to unravel the cause and protect her students from further incident.
But the FUTO management has condoled with the students and the family of the bereaved while working out modalities to curb insecurity in the school. The killing was not Fulani herders as speculated. It was student related.
Man O’ really lost a combatant colleague at the time of this incident on 29th day of February 2024 and in the morning of 1st day of March the FUTO management declared a study free day not a shutdown as rumoured.
