Fresh controversy has emerged over the marriage between Nigerian music star 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, following an alleged confrontation between the couple at an Abuja nightclub.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Faze’s 90s Lounge at Trukadero, where 2Baba was scheduled to perform.
According to an eyewitness account , Natasha arrived at the venue where 2Baba was billed to perform and reportedly demanded to speak with him.
The eyewitness claimed she repeatedly identified herself as his wife while trying to reach the singer.
A source described as senior member of 2Baba’s management team separately alleged that Natasha arrived with security personnel and people described as thugs, claiming there was an attempt to abduct the singer. The allegation has not been independently verified.
The reports have added to speculation about the state of the couple’s marriage. However, Natasha later addressed the controversy, saying she and 2Baba are experiencing a marital crisis, while denying reports that they have separated.
Natasha has since pushed back against speculation that the couple have separated, acknowledging that their relationship is experiencing difficulties and insisting that the marriage remain intact.
Her statement comes against the backdrop of earlier episodes that have generated intense speculation about the couple’s relationship..
The marriage has faced public scrutiny since 2Baba and Natasha’s relationship became public in 2925.Their union followed the singer’s announcement that his marriage to actress Annie Idibia had ended, after which he publicly acknowledged his relationship with Natasha. The couple subsequently formalized their relationship in a traditional wedding ceremony in July 2025.
Despite repeated speculation about trouble in the marriage, 2Baba had previously rejected some of the narratives surrounding his relationship with Natasha.
In February 2026, he dismissed claims that his wife controlled his movements or prevented him from attending shows, describing such reports as sensational.
The relationship nevertheless came under renewed pressure in December 2025 when 2Baba publicly appealed to fans, friends and family members to stop escalating the couple’s private disagreements.
He warned that the growing public attention could put Natasha at risk and urged everyone to allow them to resolve their problems privately.
The controversy also followed a heated Instagram Live session involving 2Baba, his former managers and media personality Daddy Freeze. During the broadcast, allegations were made about the singer’s relationship, while an off-camera argument between 2Baba and Natasha was reportedly heard before the Livestream ended.
The latest Abuja nightclub incident has therefore reopened questions about the state of the couple’s marriage, even as Natasha’s latest comment suggest that the relationship has not ended.
