Ebonyi Girl Wins Most Beautiful Girls’ Contest In South East, Says Nobody Celebrated Her (Photos)

Ebonyi girl, Miss Mgbebu Cynthia Muna based in Anambra State has cried while pleading with Ebonyi State government and general public to celebrate her like other contestants, having made it to the final tournament and emerging the first position in the just concluded South East MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL competition.

Our Correspondent during an interview with Muna at Awka, Anambra State Capital said the competition was basically organized for South East and South South young girls and lasted for two weeks and took place at the International Conference Center in Imo State.

While narrating her life experiences, she cried profusely for help from Ebonyi State government, Non governmental organizations and good spirited citizens to come to her aid, while requesting to be celebrated like her counterparts that took second and third position during the contest.

Muna said that the Most Beautiful Girl competition was a peagent platform orchestrated towards encouragement, enrichment and rebuilding the normalities of young girls who has distinguished themselves academically, and have made impacts in society.

Sharing her experiences and expectations, Muna said that she is a humanitarian, she is passionate about serving humanity through education and social development, and that her passion stems from personal experiences while growing up as an ambitious child without access to a well -equipped education and supportive environment.

“My mother is from Izzi and my father is from Ikwo Local Government Area although my father rejected me from childhood and as such it has been a very saddening and difficult for me while growing up as a child “.

“My mother gave birth to me while in her parents house, thereafter, my father paid for her bride price and my mother later gave birth to other children, so my father segregated me from other of his children “

” I have written my West African Examination Council examination (WAEC), and at this point, I have nobody to support me further my education or engage in something meaningful “

” I am an apprentice here in Awka. I am learning and into sewing men’s Senator wears. This is what I do to support myself and looking forward to God’s manifestation

Muna further said that her mother is a petty trader and what she does is not meaningful to feed the family hence she ventured into learning of handwork “

“While filling the form before the competition, I filled Ebonyi as my State, therefore, I represented my State and came back with victory having won the first position as the MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN SOUTHEAST 2014”.

She stressed out the joy of empowering the girl child and supporting their education and called on the general public to celebrate her the same way her fellow contestants who took second and third position were celebrated by their own States and individuals.
