The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested 17 suspected Internet fraudsters in Makurdi, Benue state capital.
The arrest of the suspects was disclosed in a statement shared via the command’s Twsitter handle on Monday.
Items recovered from the suspects upon arrest included, Mobile phones, ATM cards, Laptops, Lexus Rx 330 and Toyota Camry cars.
“Operatives of the Makurdi Zonal Command of the EFCC, on April 1, 2023 arrested seventeen Internet fraudsters in Makurdi, Benue state.
“The suspects are; Emmanuel Ikechukwu, Agbo Lawrence, Emmanuel Victor, Joseph Adoyr Ameh, Olamide Timothy, Augustine Adalache, Izuka Justine, Boniface Dudoo, Udechukwu Benedict and Emmanuel Igbo.
Others are Favour Nwokdi, Christian Nwgia, George Maaka, Yina Terseem, Wilson Egwoba, Issac Ukange and Precious Tseaa.
” They were arrested following actionable intelligence.
Item’s recovered from them include Mobile phone, ATM cards, Laptops, Lexus Rx 330 and a Toyota Camry.
The suspects have made useful statements and will be charge to court soon”; the statement reads.
