FG today approves the establishment of a Sea Port in Akwa Ibom State
President Muhammadu Buhari in today virtual executive council meeting has approved the establishment and development of a sea port in Akwa Ibom State.
The Sea Port which shall be called “Ibom Deep Sea Port” was initiated by Governor Obong Victor Attah. Chief Godswill Akpabio had tried to secure the approval to have the project Kick-started in his administration to no avail.
The accent to let Akwa Ibom State Government establishment and develop the Sea port was given today 16th December 2020 by the Federal Government.
Ibom Deep Sea port will be located in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and will stretch to Esit Eket and Ibeno LGAs through the Atlantic ocean.
