Prominent leaders of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bloc within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have reaffirmed their continued loyalty and commitment to the party.
The high-level meeting, held under the leadership of former Nasarawa State Governor, Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, in Abuja, brought together influential figures from the CPC tradition, who played significant roles in the formation of the APC in 2013.
Those in attendance included Rt. Hon. Aminu Masari, former Governor of Katsina State; Hon. Aliyu Adamu Farouk; veteran politician Osita Okechukwu; legal expert Chief Okoi Obono-Obla; Yusuf Salihu; Capt. Bala Jubrin (rtd); Uche Oferoh; and Hon. Ayuba Bulama, among others.
In his remarks, Senator Al-Makura emphasized the importance of unity and cohesion within the APC, urging members of the legacy CPC family to remain steadfast in supporting the party’s vision and leadership.
The meeting indicated the leaders’ resolve to contribute meaningfully to the party’s growth and stability.
The gathering also served as a platform to discuss strategies for strengthening the influence of the CPC bloc within the broader APC framework.
