Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has “undertaken to pay the compensation due for all offenders convicted and sentenced for minor offenses” at various Correctional Centres in Nasarawa State for their release.

The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, disclosed this recently after a visit to the Correctional Centres alongside the Honourable Chief-Judge of the State, Justice Aisha Bashir-Aliyu.

Barrister Magaji who commended the Governor over the gesture stressed that the Criminal Justice System of the State is on a fast wheel.

“Thanks for the initiative, Freedom at last for the masses”, he said.

The Attorney-General assured residents and other Nigerians of the administration’s commitment to ensuring access to justice, the rule of law, and human rights being the policy thrust of Governor Sule in his agenda for repositioning the justice system in Nasarawa State.
