Group Firmly Insists That Rivers Ijaw Deserves Second Term as Governor

The Rivers Restoration Movement (RRM) has cautioned political interest groups in the state against excluding Ijaw candidates from the governorship candidacy through zoning.

The group issued a statement jointly by its Director-General, Johnson Georgewill, and secretary, Mrs. Sarima Akpata on Monday in Port Harcourt.

This came after the Ogoni/Oyigbo People’s Assembly endorsed the Rivers South-East senatorial district (upland) to produce the next governor in 2027.
