The inventor of the advertising element tagged Portrait Pole Post (P3), Fashogbon Abiodun David, the CEO of Fizzie Republic has revealed how the legendary Nigerian entertainer, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known by his stage name D’banj saved him from depression.
Fashogbon who disclosed this in Ibadan while featuring on a radio program described the Kokolet crooner as a pleasant personality that always cared for the betterment of his fellow man, the trait he displayed towards him when he was once in a state of persistent sadness.
“D’banj played big role in my life when I lost my mother who was my mentor and great source of motivation in 2013, my business suffered a slide and I was greatly depressed, I had to relocate to Lagos where I met him after getting a follow job as ambassador for Ciroc along with Banky W.
“We became friends and he will give me a show to cover as a photographer doing pictures and short video clips for him, he paid me very well for the jobs, but it’s not all about the money, but his good words which were full of encouragement and motivations to me”.
“Fashy you’re going to bounce back, fiile you’re coming back up”, Fashogbon added that D’Banj will always describe him as a man that is full of positive energy which is a good attribute that points to success.
“The memories I had with him are just so pleasant, he will say (‘boboyi energy ti poju’), this guy your energy is too much, ‘Fashie, don’t you get tired”.
He used to be amazed by my business name ‘Fashiefizzie’ He’s a pleasant guy, and now that I’m the inventor of Portrait Pole Post (P3) advert and things are moving on well for me, I can’t forget people that didn’t let me give up then because depression is real, I almost committed suicide, D’Banj is a mentor, am so proud of him”.
