I am disappointed with Mr. Peter Obi’s temperament on Arise TV – Okongwu Promise A.

An Anambra born journalist and an advocate of good governance, Mr Okongwu Promise has stated that he is disappointed with former Gov. peter Obi’ tamperament, especially as it has to do with the citizens feeling.

In a widely circulated piece from the young advocate for good governance, he streesed that Dino Malaye is only but a citizen and is disappointed with the system and is concerned with whoever that would lead him and Mr. Peter Obi shouldn’t have reacted that way against him.

Read the full circulated piece below:

A presidential candidate in Nigeria, warned one of the citizen (Dino malaye) that he is aspiring to lead to stop calling his name and emphasized that he has already taken too much from him on Arise TV town hall meeting yesterday.

This is one of the reasons, why we usually counsel people to prepare well before jumping out to contest any election in Nigeria.

Leadership and elections in Nigeria is a herculean task that needs so much tick skin with tactics in order to achieve the needed result.

From time immemorial, I have been of the opinion that Mr. Peter Obi is not yet prepared for the presidency of this nation, Nigeria.

I have always argued that Obi resolve to contest this presidential election was born out of his realization that Nigerians are angry with the APC led government and are looking for an alternative, without recognizing that we ain’t looking for an unprepared alternative.

Just imagine for a minute, Mr. Peter Obi under the shoes of Gov. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, who arrived the venue and their was a staged agitation by the oppositions, claiming that it was the presidential candidate that was invited and not him the vice presidential candidate and ought not to be present at the event, which he calmly explained that his presidential candidate, who travelled for a serious international engagement in US for over a week now, had earlier sorted permission from the organizers and was granted, hence his presence at the venue.

This to me is maturity, experience, calmness and readiness for the task ahead, especially in a complicated today Nigeria.

The Task ahead for whoever that will take over the leadership of our country as the president and vice president respectively in 2023 is a tedious task and yesterday’s outing is a pointer to whom and the level of prepared the candidates are in terms of availability, temperament and possession of solutions.

Dr. Athur Okowa and Kwankwaso was seen yesterday more presidential than the other two presidential candidate. Both of them was calm, relaxed and coordinated enough to proffer solutions to the problems bedeviling our nation.

On the side of Peter Obi, he was at his best in dishing out statistics and cheering his supporters with facts about Nigeria’s problems, but ended up destroying the whole thing with his exchange of words with a Dino malaye, who is just an audience listening and comparing the track records of his preferred candidate with other candidates.

This to me is dismal and quite unfortunate for an aspirant who is angling for the No 1 position of a complex nation to loose focus on the task ahead and demean himself towards exchanging words with a citizen and I ask, what then happens if he eventually wins the election?

maybe, automatic imprisonment for whoever that mentioned his name to his detriment.

Truth be told, Peter Obi has just messed up with his behavior at the Arise news town hall meeting yesterday and I thinks the best for him is to apologize publicly to Senator Dino Malaye, Arise News TV and Nigerians for such unnecessary outburst.

God bless Nigeria.

Mmiri Jesus.
