The Doncaster Art Fair has announced that distinguished international lawyer, former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly and mental health advocate Ike C. Ibe will serve as Exhibition Judge for the highly anticipated 2025 exhibition.
The exhibition titled, “Art as a Response to Mental Health”, which opens on June 12 and runs until July 22, aims to explore the transformative power of art in mental health awareness and healing.
As the global conversation around mental health continues to evolve, the exhibition emphasizes art’s growing role as a medium for self-expression, emotional release, and public engagement.
Ike C. Ibe, who has spent decades bridging law, humanitarian work, and community development, brings a uniquely compassionate and insightful lens to this year’s showcase.

A former legislator and briefly Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly at just 27, he served as Imo State Trade Representative to the U.S. from 2000 to 2006.
Beyond his legal and political career, Ike is known for his tireless humanitarian work.
He has empowered women through microfinance, funded education for numerous university students, and facilitated life-saving medical interventions.
His medical missions to Nigeria from the U.S. have provided free treatment to thousands.
A certified grief and trauma counselor and life coach, Ibe has travelled widely across Nigeria, advocating for emotional well-being, resilience and mental health awareness.
As a result of his deeply rooted belief in art as a healing and empowering force, he supports young and emerging artists.
His selection as a judge at the Doncaster Art Fair boldly indicates his cross-sector expertise and commitment to using art for social impact.
The 2025 exhibition promises to highlight powerful artistic expressions that respond to themes of mental health, trauma, and hope.
