The Majority Leader Imo State House of Assembly, Hon Kanayo Onyemaechi has commended His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodinma on his unassailable efforts to the approval of University of Innovation, Science and Technology, Omuma, Imo State under his watch.
Kanayo Onyemaechi was optimistic that the recently approved University in Imo state will boost the admission quota of Ndi Imo into the school. Majority Leader Onyemaechi added that the University will certainly bring development to not only Omuma but to Imo state at large.
The Back-to-back Majority Leader IMHA and Honourable member representing Owerri West State constituency joined the academia and people of goodwill in the state to thank Governor Hope Uzodinma for his dogged fight aimed at bringing education to the door step of all Imolites across the three senatorial zones in Imo state.
Onyemaechi noted that National Universities commission (NUC) must has completed their assessment successfully and approved for the establishment of University of Innovation, Science and Technology, Omuma, Imo under the leadership of shared prosperity administration led by the digital Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
Haven noted that Governor Uzodinma’s outstanding records so far in the Skillup Imo Initiative, with over 50,000 young people trained in various skills, have inspired his administration to take legal measures to institutionalize this transformative approach to equipping IMO students with digital skills that will drive entrepreneurship across all sectors, Hon Egbe extends his congratulations to Imo State for recording the fourth state owned University.
Recall that while Governor Uzodinma was receiving the certificate of approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the establishment of the University of Innovation, Science and Technology, Omuma, Imo State, he also emphasized the need for Imo State graduates to emerge not just as job seekers, but as entrepreneurs, innovators, and globally competitive professionals equipped to drive the digital economy.
