Imo Journalists call for immediate intervention as Declan INPA faction warns Shirley Muonye group against imposters

The 2021 Electoral Committee of Imo Newspaper Publishers Association INPA yesterday, Saturday 18th September 2021 conducted free, fair and credible polls.
The following names of publishers below were elected:
Mr. Declan Anaele as Chairman
Elder Chukwuemeka Ike as Vice Chairman
Mr. Leonard Ajokubi as Secretary
Mr. Jotham Emenyonu as Fin. Secretary
Chief Martin Ukanwa as PRO
The positions of Treasurer, Assistant Secretary and Provost are still vacant. The new executive is to conduct bye-elections to fill the vacant positions.
Fourteen out of the 23 registered members participated in the election.
Two members namely Mr Stone Diala and Tricia Iwuoha joined after the polls and endorsed the new executive.
The election was observed by renowned Journalist, Chief Ford Ozumba while Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps provided security during the polls.
The IMMEDIATE PAST Chairman, HON. HENRY EKPE swore the new executive into the office and handed over the baton of leadership to it.
The committee, therefore, expressed happiness and thankfulness to the former executive for entrusting the task of midwifing the emergence of the executive into its hands.
