The inauguration of the 10th Assembly of Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) has been scheduled to take place at the State Assembly Complex, Owerri on Friday, 16 June, 2023, according to a communique.
Following the PROCLAMATION by the Governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, the Imo State House of Assembly wishes to inform all Honourable Members-elect of the House of Assembly that 10th House of Assembly Inauguration is scheduled to hold on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the House of Assembly Complex, Owerri from 10am.
Honourable Members-elect are required to report at the Speaker’s Conference Room with valid I.D. Cards for registration, Certificates of Return and Code of Conduct clearance.
According to the press release, “due to space constraint, Member-Elects are to come along with only two guests who will be seated in the gallery while only the spouse of each Member-elect will be given access into the Chamber.
All other guests will be seated in the tent provided downstairs.”
The press release signed by Chinelo Adaora Emeghara Esq, Clerk/Head, Legislative Service IMHA stated that only Member-Elects of the State House of Assembly shall be given access to the chambers.
Immediately after the swearing -in, a new date will be taken for the election of 10th Assembly New principal officers.
