In a shocking incident, an 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped for several months by numerous men at an apartment in Chennai. The police have arrested 17 people so far, including the building’s security guard.
According to the police, the girl was sedated and given spiked soft drinks. The police say that she was also blackmailed. A liftman and a water supplier have also been arrested in connection with the rape case.
A PTI report said that the girl narrated her ordeal to her elder sister, who later informed the parents. Following this, the mother approached the police and a complaint was filed on Sunday.
In a similar case, a class 9 student was allegedly gang-raped by her school principal and two teachers for seven months in Bihar.
Her ordeal did not end just there as 15 students from the same school also gang-raped her during this period. The principal, a teacher and students were arrested after the girl filed a police complaint. She said that she was also blackmailed by the school staff.
