Judicial Officers Gets Car Donation From Governor Zulum

Judges and Khadis in Borno State has gotten a car donation from the state governor, Babagana Umara Zulum.

The vehicles, 19 Toyota Camry, were presented to them in a brief ceremony at Government House, Maiduguri.

According to a statement by the governor’s spokesman, Dauda Iliya, on Saturday morning, the donation is part of the state government’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary and ensuring effective service delivery.

The vehicles’ keys were handed over to the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Hauwa Abubakar, at the ceremony.

Represented by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Babagana Mallumbe to present the donation, Governor Zulum said that the gesture is a testament to his support to the judiciary.

“As directed by His Excellency, it is my honour and privilege to hand over these vehicles to you on behalf of the state government.

“This donation is part of our efforts to enhance the judicial sector and ensure that our citizens have access to justice as we continue to recover from 16 years of insurgency,” Mallumbe said.

In her response, the Attorney General expressed gratitude to the governor on behalf of the judiciary.

She said Governor Zulum support to the judiciary signifies his commitment and promotion of justice in Borno.

“We are confident that this support will enhance the operations of the judiciary and contribute to upholding justice for all,” she added.
