LG Polls: PDP In Bomadi Local Government Area Of Delta State Unanimously Adopts Hon. Dagidi Andaye As Sole Candidate For its General Election

Bomadi, Delta State – in a move that reflects unity, strength, and confidence, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) members in Bomadi Local Government Area have resoundingly embraced Hon. Dagidi Andaye as their sole candidate for the upcoming local government general elections.
The decision was made in a consensus agreement during the party’s primaries, affirming Hon. Dagidi Andaye’s unwavering dedication and exceptional service to the party.


The State Returning Officer, Barr. Blessing, officially declared Hon. Dagidi Andaye as the sole candidate and returned him unopposed. Highlighting his long-standing commitment and the profound ability to mobilize the grassroots, leaders of the party who were visibly seen excited applauded his victory and attributed it to his impeccable character and significant contributions to the party. They maintained that Hon. Dagidi Andaye’s nomination stands as a testament to his proven leadership and extensive experience within the party.
Speaking on behalf of party leaders, Dr. Macauley Denghan said the contest to become a candidate had been fierce, yet there were no winners or losers—only a shared commitment to the party’s best interests. He maintained that it was unanimously agreed that Hon. Dagidi Andaye’s candidacy symbolizes a winning choice for PDP in Bomadi LGA. His track record as a grassroots mobilizer and his previous role as a supervisor for environment underscore his experience to effectively represent the mandate of the communities in the LGA at higher levels. He urged all party faithful to respect the decision made unanimously by the leadership.


The affirmation of Hon. Dagidi Andaye as the standard-bearer for PDP has garnered widespread support among party faithful, stakeholders, and local leaders. With a palpable sense of optimism, the PDP members expressed confidence in Hon. Dagidi Andaye’s ability to secure victory in the general election, emphasizing his sellable qualities and dedication to serving the people of Bomadi Local Government Area.
The atmosphere of the political gathering was charged with enthusiasm and camaraderie. Sen. James Manager and Rt. Hon. Nicholas Mutu, along with other prominent figures, convened to discuss the forthcoming local government elections in the state where Hon. Dagidi Andaye was unanimously adopted by the leaders.
The spotlight also fell on Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, whose unwavering commitment to progress resonated with everyone present at the meeting. His developmental initiatives had left an indelible mark across the entire state, and Bomadi Council was no exception. The leaders praised him for his tireless efforts in uplifting communities and ensuring equitable growth.
One of the key highlights was the governor’s focus on inclusivity. The leaders applauded him for appointing sons and daughters from every ward within the Bomadi Council Area into positions of authority in his administration, recognizing their potential and dedication. This move, according to them not only strengthened local representation but also fostered a sense of ownership among the residents.
The decision to rally behind Hon. Dagidi Andaye as the sole candidate reflects a collective belief in his leadership, integrity, and vision for the party. As the countdown to the general polls begins, the PDP in Bomadi LGA stands united in its resolve to propel Hon. Dagidi Andaye to lead the charge and uphold the principles of the party with distinction.


In his acceptance speech, Dagidi Andaye expressed heartfelt gratitude. He thanked Governor Oborevwori being the leader of the party in the State for giving free hands for party members to choose candidates of their choice for the July Council polls. According to him, “I must express my deep appreciation and thank His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of the State. He has demonstrated leadership in the management of State affairs. The Governor has shown his unwavering commitment towards the growth and stability of the party in the State”. The candidate also commended the state party chairman, Chief Kingsley Esiso, and the entire party leadership in Bomadi Local Government Area for their role in throwing him up as the consensus Chairmanship candidate of the party in Bomadi LGA.
Andaye didn’t forget those who stood by him during the consultation period. Dr. Denghan Macaulay, Hon. Pius Labo (DG Campaign Council), Elder Allen Egbegi, Dr. Barry Gbe (Economic Adviser SA to Gov Oborevwori), Hon. Funyei Manager, and Commissioner Special Project Elder Famous Ofurobiri—all played crucial roles. Their commitment and prayers would remain pillars of his administration.
