MAIDUGURI FLOOD: PDP Chieftain Distribute Relief Materials To Victims Of Flood

A People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Borno State, Mohammed Imam, has supported victims of flood disaster in Maiduguri and Jere local government area of Borno State.

Imam, also former two times gubernatorial candidate of PDP in Borno, was accompanied by the party chairman in the state, Alh. Zanna Gaddama Mustapha.

This is contained in statement signed by Muhammad Bulama Sheriff, assistant publicity secretary PDP, Borno on Sunday, where he noted that the party chief has distributed relief materials worth millions of naira to the flood victims.

Also accompanied by other party stakeholders, Imam said that the gesture is aimed at alleviating their suffering and assured the that he will continue to provide effective support to the people.

The materials distributed in Maiduguri and Jere communities includes: food, cash and other vital materials.

Imam also visited the Shehu of Borno, HRH Abubakar Umar Ibn Gabai Al-Amin Elkanemi, to sympathised with the royal father on the flood incident.

During the visit, the Shehu thanked Imam and urged the leaders of the party to continue praying for the state to regain it strength.
