Monday 29th day of May 2023, the former President Mohammadu Buhari handed over the baton of administration to His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the sixteenth President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
It is of a truth, very historical and memorable in the minds of every reasonable Nigerian who witnessed this day when the transition to new era of government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, GCON was made.
Recall that the election that brought President Tinubu was keenly contested under the watch of President Mohammadu Buhari.
Though litigations beclouded the outcome of the 2023 election that declared Tinubu the winner of the presidential contest, INEC stood their grounds while the court order was obeyed to allow the inauguration.
Atiku’s litigation was thrown off by the court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Abuja while awaiting the judgement on Peter Obi case against Tinubu as to be scheduled by the Court of law.
The moment former President Muhammadu Buhari departed Eagle Square after handing over power to new President Bola Tinubu, he proceeded to his Daura country home in Sokoto state Nigeria.
It was full of emotional feelings by Nigerians when the hand over was made officially by Buhari with an exchange of warm handshakes.
Buhari handed over ceremoniously and it is expected of Nigerians that the Almighty Allah will continue to preserve Mohammadu Buhari upon righteousness, accept his good deeds, and forgive his limitations.
The presidential seat is indeed a hot one and there is no doubt the Tinubu’s administration will be faced with alot of challenges expected to be surmounted by good policy implementation, better governance and improvement in virtually every sector.

The attention is now not on Buhari, but the new President,Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
