The All Progressives Congress Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee will be holding its inaugural meeting on Monday.
The meeting would hold at the APC national secretariat, Abuja.
The 12-member Caretaker Committee led Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State as the chairman and Senator JJ Udoedehe as secrtary is expected to set up sub-committees as part of preparations for the party’s congresses and the national convention.
9News Nigeria is told that some of the sub-committees are finance and publicity sub-committees.
Intelligence has it that the committee would also discuss the future of State Executive Committee, Local Government and Ward officials of the party.
Recall that the party’s National Executive Committee, during its meeting at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, dissolved the party’s National Working Committee and set up the caretaker committee headed by the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
The dissolved NWC was elected in June 2018 for four years tenure but ended abruptly due to lingering internal crisis in the party.
The caretaker committee was given the mandate to organise the party’s ward, local government and state congresses as well as the national convention in the next six months.
