Following the NFL, Roc Nation and Apple Music announcement that Kendrick Lamar will headline the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show, American rapper, Nicki Minaj has sent shots at Roc Nation CEO, Jay Z.
According to Minaj, Lil Wayne deserves to be captaining the Super Bowl.
9News Nigeria reports that Jay Z co-produces the halftime show.
In a series of tweets on Monday 9 September, the self acclaimed rap queen emphasized that the Roc Nation boss is as spiteful and envious.
“One n**** took a knee, the other n**** took a bag…got everything in the world still spiteful and evil. Disgusting. Be happy Abeg. Go be fkng happy n!gg@!!!!!!!! In rap business. In women business.
“When you got the Politicians & the police you good tho. Plus dat ugly laughy taffy alien.
“Your hatred for Drake & Nicki got you punishing Lil Wayne?” She lashed at Jay Z.
Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar in a statement after the announcement noted; “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one.”
Of course this will make Lamar the first solo rapper to headline the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, scheduled for February 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, USA.
