The Niger State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT), which is the association for primary school teachers within the state, has threatened to down their tools if the state government pays their December salary on percentage.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Niger state chapter of the NUT, Comrade Akayago Adamu Mohammed while giving an interview shortly after the opening ceremony of the 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the NUT Endwell Micro Finance Bank Limited.
Comrade Akayago Adamu Mohammed maintained that primary school teachers after working tirelessly will no longer collect monthly salaries on percentage, a development he said is against labour laws.
