Amanda Azubuike, a Colonel, was last weekend promoted to Brigadier-General of the US Army.
Amanda was born in the UK to an Igbo father from Ideato in Imo state and a Zimbabwean mother.
Out of the total population 1.2 million men and women of the US Army only 300 made it to the high ranking positions of which she was meritoriously among.
