Elder Soge Egbuna alongside others
Emerges victorious as the Newly elected executives in the just concluded June 12th Nnewichi general election held at Obi Nnewichi Nnewi.
The election which was conducted by the Board of trustee Nzuko Agamniru Nnewichi as electoral officers after the immidate past executives led by Hon Cyril Okolo 4 years in office elapsed during the Covid 19 season in 2020 was adjuded as very free, fair, credible and peaceful transition of the newly elected officials of the community.
The election which was conducted in an open secret ballot form with 80 accredited delegates to vote for their preferred candidates in the various elective positions saw to the emergency of the following candidates as duly elected:
Elder Soje Egbuna 67 votes against chief Mike Okonkwo 13 votes for the president position.
Elder Soge Egbuna emerged president general.
Hon Sylvester Ejidike emerged unopposed as the Vice president
Hon Augstine Nwokedike emerged Unopposed as the secretary
Uche Oranusi emerged Unopposed as the Assistant Secretary.
Ubezuonu okwudili emerged Unopposed as the financial secretary.
Samuel onweluzo emerged Unopposed as the treasurer.
Somadina uduogu emerged victorious after pulling a total of 41 votes against Hon Onyedika Nwosu 37 Votes for the PRO position.
Mathew edokwe emerged Unopposed as thechief provost unopposed.
Ekpunobi Emmanuel emerged Unopposed as the provost unopposed.
Ikechukwu Nwafor emerged Unopposed as the provost Unopposed.
Chukwuma Uzochukwu emerged Unopposed as the provost Unopposed.
The election which was witnessed by various spectors by members from the Nnewi North LGA council, Nzukora Nnewi executives and other human right organization.
Speaking to 9News.Ng by the chairman BOT Nzuko Agamniru Nnewichi Mr Humphrey Ngonadi after the election, thanked the people for support while discharging their duties for the people’s choice to emerge. He also used this medium to pray for a successful tenure of the newly elected executives.
While Elder Soge Egbuna the newest president of Nnewichi Community, while addressing the mammoth people of Nnewichi after the election asked for their support and Goodwill as re-affirms his preparedness to take the Community to the apex levels in development.
On the side of chief Mike Okonkwo who lost the presidential position to Elder Soge Egbuna, said that in every game one person must emerge as the winner of the election.
