The North Central All Progressives Congress, APC Forum has mourned the passing of the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Lt. General Jeremiah Timbut Useni who died on Thursday.
In a statement made available to newsmen, the Forum Chairman, Alhaji Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, stated that it received the news of the death of Lt. General Useni rtd “with shock”.
The Forum lauded General Useni’s life of selfless service, noting his profound contributions to the military, politic, community and the Nation.
The Forum described him as a true soldier, a path-finder, visionary, erudite astute politician and gentleman per excellence.
According to the statement, “He was a strong advocate of a united, progressive and prosperous Nigeria and his contributions will be greatly missed as the nation’s democracy continues to evolve”, Zazzaga added.
“I extend my deepest sympathies to the President, the Nigerian Armed Forces, his immediate family, his community and all those mourning the loss of this distinguished elder statesman.
“May his soul rest in peace”, the statement further added.
